Cramptons Road WTW

Cramptons Road Water Treatment Works is located in the north of Sevenoaks near the M26. The work produces treated borehole water, which is pumped along two mains to the service reservoirs at Riverhill and Solefields. Cramptons Road WTW, with a current production capacity of 21.68Mld is fed from one off-site and three on-site boreholes.

This contract comprises the design and construction of a new building to house the new high lift pumping station, MCC and chemical storage and dosing equipment, all associated suction and delivery pipework, chemical dosing and related water treatment arrangements, Refurbishment of the existing contact tank is included along with mains diversion to be distributed from the new building. New surge protection equipment is required together with an external compound area housing a new substation (or relocation of existing) and a new standby generator.

Enisca works comprised detailed design, supply, delivery to site, offloading, installation and system integration of the following major items of equipment:

  • 1600A busbars 50kA/1sec
  • Withdrawable Siemens ACBs 1600A
  • Mains – Generator Synchronising
  • 300A Active Harmonic Filter
  • Mitsubishi PLC and colour touch screen HMI
  • Power monitoring on an Ethernet network
  • 2No. 400kW, 2No. 220kW & 3No. 37kW Mitsubishi F-700 VSDs
