Electrician - Enisca Browne

We have an immediate requirement to appoint 2 Electricians to work on multi-disciplinary Water projects in the South East clean water non-infrastructure industry.

Job Purpose

Deliver and manage electrical installations in clean water environments. Ensuring objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets ensuring appropriate health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met.

  • Reports to: Project Engineer
  • Direct reports: Electrical Technicians, Improvers, Apprentices
  • Liaising with: Operations, support departments, sub-contractors, client
  • Department: Operations
The Person

Reporting to a Project Manager/Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering industrial level electrical system installations. Managing technical aspects of the work for MEICA pre and during construction. You will interface with the clients’ engineers inclusive of sub-contractors and materials suppliers.

You should be able to manage cost and resource for weekly maintenance of the project environment. You will be commercially aware of cost implications of the work you carry out and have an understanding of project change management.

You will be qualified in Electrical Craft Installation work to CGLI TEC, 2361,2,3 or to equivalent NVQ level 3 craft certification with AM2 or JIB approved or equivalent. Experience in a multi-disciplinary construction environment is required and you need to understand essential electrical systems with a broad brush understanding of bolt on disciplines to clean water projects. You must be dynamic in your approach to your work, dedicated, capable and diverse in your skills.

Personal Requirements:
  • Essential: CGLI, NVQ with relevant experience in electrical installation in clean water or a related industry

Experience of:

  • Understanding and installation of industrial grade cable systems inclusive of glanding and termination
  • Understanding and installation of field transducer and motor systems for control and reporting
  • Construct Ladder, HD and MRFL Tray, GS Trunking, HGSS, and Channel support systems
  • Understanding protection systems from Fusing, MCB, MCCB, and ACB systems
  • Installation and putting into service electric motors of various work duties
  • Working with and installing MCC panels of various forms, panel board and sub-distribution systems and isolators
  • Installing building services equipment lighting, small power and connections to Mechanical equipment.
  • Advantageous: PLC training, IEC PLC Programming using GX Works, PLC Advanced (GX Works), Q PLC Maintenance, GOT HMI and Profibus
