Enisca achieve certification to global H&S standard

6 Jul 2020

Enisca have successfully transitioned from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001, the new international standard for occupational health and safety. The successful migration to the standard is tribute to Enisca’s ongoing commitment to business continuous improvement and to Health and Safety.

ISO 45001 is the first global standard for occupational health and safety designed to protect employees and visitors from work-related accidents and diseases. ISO 45001 was devised to consider existing occupational health and safety standards including OHSAS 18001, the International Labour Standards, conventions and safety guidelines. ISO 45001 has the goal of helping businesses provide a healthy and safe working environment for their employees and everyone else who visits the workplace.

In addition to the ISO 45001 certification, Enisca achieved a successful surveillance audit against existing quality and environmental standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Commenting on the successful transition audit, Enisca Managing Director Conor King said, “We are absolutely delighted to have obtained ISO 45001:2018. Teamwork was essential in achieving certification, and we are delighted to have successfully transitioned with no non-conformances raised. Achieving such high standards in Occupational Health and Safety is critical to the success and continued development of our business and a proud moment for our team.”
