Froxfield Tower Booster

South East Water (SEW) engaged Enisca Browne to recommend a design for a new booster station to be located at the Froxfield Tower site that would increase supply pressure. Enisca Browne proposed the Enisca PumpPodTM solution as an alternative to standard solutions that included for a walk-in GRP kiosk c/w a skid mounted booster pump set, associated pipework, valves, fittings, instruments and a Form 4 MCC. Enisca’s PumpPod product is a past winner of Institute of Water Northern Ireland Area Innovation Challenge –“ An intelligent, integrated water pressure boosting system prefabricated offsite for delivery as a plug and play solution”. This modular solution reduced the works programme, risk of impact to the supply network and capital costs.

Enisca was engaged as Principal Contractor by SEW for the scoping, design, provision, installation, testing and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, control, automation, monitoring, telemetry equipment, and the associated ancillary civil engineering works necessary for the successful completion including commissioning, testing and training. This PumpPod installation included:

  • 2 No. Grundfos CR vertical multistage pumps
  • IP65 Kiosk
  • Integral Control section
  • Form 4 control panel section
  • Mitsubishi FRF-740 with modbus to VSDs
  • Telemetry – Seprol S255 unit
  • Pressure & flow instrumentation
  • Welded Stainless Steel pipework rated to 16bar & associated valves
  • Civil works including plinth, cable ducts, boundary fencing
