Graduate Project Engineer

The Graduate Engineer will be a key member of the project delivery team supporting the delivery of a range of M&E projects.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of the project delivery team responsible for the coordination and delivery of projects ranging in value and complexity, ensuring all projects to be undertaken are to an agreed cost, scope, and program.

2. Support the preparation of the project design

3. Support project delivery teams during the preconstruction, construction, and plant commissioning stages.

4. Compile specifications for purchasing materials and equipment, including bid pricing schedules from the scope of works.

5. Support preparation of project budgets, placing orders to procure plant and materials, and ensuring they are within budget.

6. Deal with technical queries during the procurement process.

7. Understand the contractual arrangements of a project and ensure that they are not compromised due to design or procurement issues.

8. Assist in the identification and pre-qualification of sub-contractors.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A third level engineering qualification
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Pay close attention to detail to all tasks undertaken.
  • Possesses a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to travel, plan, manage and prioritise own workload.
